Authenticity
I’ve always struggled with self doubt, and if I’m being completely candid, low self esteem.
Out of all of their children, I think my parents have always worried about me the least… maybe it’s because I’m the youngest… a rule follower, who knows?! But I do think my mom worried about my self confidence.
This handwritten note from my mom hangs framed above my desk at home. Whenever I have a moment of insecurity, I look up at it.

Dear Megan,
I love that you type Dad’s minutes and I love that you and Will will go to Mom’s with me!
You are such a special person, you are so real and authentic!
I love that you visit Caroline in the city and party with her and Hannah.
You are the best of the best, Megan.
I dearly love you.
Love, Mom
I start a new job today! I’m grateful I have this to look up at, to admire my mom’s gorgeous cursive writing, to find comfort hearing her voice as I read it, and to remind myself to be authentically me, always.
-written by my sister, Megan. good luck today xo-
